I said yesterday, I don’t care what the number is, I am taking the New England Patriots. Well, the number opened at Patriots -6.5. There is no shot the Tennessee Titans are staying within a touchdown of the Patriots on Sunday. For starters, the Patriots are a much better team than the Titans. I can say that confidently only having watched the Patriots play one game this year, because of how bad the Titans are. Also, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye is playing out of his mind right now:

Then there is the Mike Vrabel factor. You can say what you want about Vrabel as a coach, but he gets his team ready for big games. Remember the Sunday Night Football game when the Titans went to Los Angeles to play the Rams the week after Derrick Henry’s foot injury in 2021? No one gave the Titans a chance in that game, but they went out there and whipped them 28-16.

Then there is the game last week where the Patriots played the Buffalo Bills on the road. No one gave the Patriots a chance in that game. Well, the Patriots won 23-20. Remember every time the Titans played the Kansas City Chiefs when Vrabel was here? Remember the game against the Houston Texans when the Titans were missing both of their starting offensive tackles against a really good pass rush? Those are just a few examples of “Big Game Vrabes.”

Now, this isn’t the same type of game on a national label, but you better believe this is a massive game for Vrabel. He will downplay that this week, but you know he wants to come in here and demolish the Titans. That’s exactly what is going to happen.
