Titans news: Time for a change

Yesterday was the first day that Tennessee Titans players talked to the media since head coach Brian Callahan was fired on Monday. Most of the players gave the PR answer when asked about the firing. That is mostly what you would expect. There were a few, however, that said it was time for a change.

My job is to play quarterback, and my job is to help lead this team to wins,” Ward said on Wednesday. “I am going to support whatever decision we make (as an organization), and the guys in the locker room are going to support it.

  • Largely lost in how bad the Titans have been is the fantastic season that Cedric Gray is having:
  • I really like so much of what GM Mike Borgonzi has done so far, but the Jarvis Brownlee trade seems really, really dumb.
  • PK reported yesterday that there won’t be a tribute video for Mike Vrabel on Sunday in his return to Nissan Stadium with the New England Patriots. That should come as no surprise, considering everything that is going on here. Is this the right call? I think it unquestionably is.

  • I hate that I am already looking at mock drafts for the 2026 NFL Draft, but that is just where this franchise is currently. There were a couple out yesterday that had the Titans taking an EDGE rusher with their first pick. Makes sense.

  • I’m a big Bama fan. Ty Simpson has been really good this year, but slotting him as the first pick in the draft is insane.
