Tennessee Titans owner Amy Adams-Strunk decided to go ahead and pull the trigger on firing Brian Callahan before Mike Vrabel and the New England Patriots come to town. Chad Brinker just released the following statement:
There is no news on who the interim head coach will be. It is interesting that the statement comes from Brinker and not Adams-Strunk. There has been a shift in the last couple of years with her staying more in the background and letting Brinker handle these types of things.
One interesting question: Will Brian’s dad, Bill Callahan, stay on staff to coach the offensive line? There is no word on that yet.
We can assume Brinker will have a press conference at some point this afternoon to address the news. We will keep you up to date with all of the news that comes from that presser.
Callahan finishes his tenure with the Titans with a record of 4-19.
