The Tennessee Titans have announced that they have opened T’Vondre Sweat’s 21-day window to return from injured reserve. They will now have three weeks to either activate him or put him on season-ending IR. It’s been a tough start to the 2025 season for Sweat, who missed a lot of training camp after having to have a tonsillectomy. He played in week one against the Denver Broncos, but hasn’t played since.
Ran Carthon took Sweat in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft. It will be interesting to see how he fits in the team’s plans going forward, but for now, they need him out there eating up space next to Jeffery Simmons. They also need to see some of the pass rush skills that were touted when he came out of Texas.
The Titans also announced that they signed defensive back Alex Johnson to the practice squad. He was on the Titans’ practice squad earlier in the year before being waived a couple of weeks ago.
