In case it wasn’t already obvious.
The Tennessee Titans held their pre-draft press conference today with President of Football Operations Chad Brinker, General Manager Mike Borgonzi, and Head Coach Brian Callahan. In a surprise to no one, Borgonzi confirmed that the Titans will be picking at number one in the 2025 NFL Draft. He followed up with, “You will have to tune in to see who we pick.” He also said that they are no longer even taking calls on the first pick.
It was really funny to listen to the dog and pony show of not revealing who they are going to pick. All of the questions were about Cam Ward. They would answer questions about him specifically, but would not confirm that he will be the pick.
There really wasn’t anything newsworthy that came from the presser. Borgonzi was asked about needs outside of the obvious ones like quarterback, wide receiver, and EDGE. He declined to answer that question as to not tip his hand to the rest of the league.
As everyone knows, the real intrigue for the Titans comes at the top of the second round. The buzz lately has been that there could be some interesting receivers available when the Titans are on the clock Friday night. How much will they value adding more picks over a player that is available? As Borgonzi said, we will have to tune in on Friday night to find out.
It’s almost here!
