Could the Titans be eyeing Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft?

The Tennessee Titans brass is currently at the East-West Shrine Bowl. Shedeur Sanders is at the East-West Shrine Game, but reportedly he will not take part in any of the on the field activities. The Titans were able to interview him yesterday and Callahan said he was impressive. As I said yesterday, I wouldn’t expect the Titans to say anything negative about either of these two quarterbacks between now and the draft.

Jim Wyatt asked Callahan about the other top quarterback prospect in this draft, Cam Ward from Miami, and unsurprisingly, had good things to say:

“He does some really cool stuff,” Callahan said of Ward. “He has a really loose throwing motion, and I mean that in the best way. He can spin the ball well. He has all the different arm angles. He has the ability to move and create. He’s put some really impressive throws on tape.

“Without knowing the person at all, just from what I’ve seen in a limited viewing, is he’s incredibly talented. I think you see him do some things that are very unique with his ability to throw the ball.”

One of the keys there is the “without knowing the person at all” line. The Titans won’t form their final opinion on these guys until they get to sit down with them for an interview. They have now done that to some extent with Sanders. They will do the same with Ward at some point very soon.
