Titans add two more to front office

The Titans front office got a little deeper over the weekend.

Yesterday it was reported that the Tennessee Titans have added two more guys to their front office staff. Dave Ziegler will be the assistant general manager and Reggie McKenzie in a “key, senior scouting role” per Ian Rapoport. Both guys have been general managers in the past. In a weird twist, they were both the general manager of the (Oakland) Las Vegas Raiders.

Ziegler spent just one full season as the Raiders general manager. He was hired in January of 2022 and fired in October of 2023. The Raiders were 12-18 with Ziegler at the helm. The two drafts he oversaw were pretty bad. It should be pointed out though that they didn't have a first or second round pick in the 2022 draft as a result of the Davante Adams trade. Ziegler hasn’t crossed paths with Chad Brinker or Mike Borgonzi that I can find. It is interesting that Albert Breer mentioned him as a guy that would be joining the staff right after Borgonzi was hired.

McKenzie and Brinker worked together with the Green Bay Packers, and McKenize was one of the guys who interviewed for the GM job with the Titans after Ran Carthon was fired. He has been in the league in various scouting roles since 1994.

The Titans have a lot of experience in the front office now. It will be interesting to see how it all comes together.
