Jim Wyatt has his six things that stood out. One of the things he highlighted was the connection Cam Ward had with Calvin Ridley. That is going to be a very important connection for this offense to be good. The respect those guys have for each other at this early stage is really cool to see.
Wyatt also pointed out the good night that inside linebacker James Williams Sr had. Williams is trying to make his case to start opposite Cody Barton when the season starts.
Tyjae Spears suffered a high ankle sprain in the loss last night. More on that here.
Paul Kuharsky broke down Cam Ward’s night, including a nugget that he arrived at the stadium 6 1/2 hours before kickoff.
So much has been made of Ward’s propensity to be the first one in the building since was drafted. That doesn’t guarantee success as an NFL quarterback, but his work ethic will certainly help him succeed.
Old friend Justin Graver had the best tweet of the night:
Cam Ward dug the Titans out of a hole after a penalty gave them 1st and 20. Brian Callahan on that and the need to stay away from the penalties, which were a major problem last year:
Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Cam Little hit a 70-yard field goal last night. He will probably be their best player on offense:
