Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow and his wife, Demi-Leigh, a former Miss Universe, welcomed their first child, a daughter named Daphne Reign Tebow, over the weekend.
Fans couldn’t get enough of the precious pictures posted online.
The couple announced the birth on social media, expressing gratitude for the medical team and those who prayed for them.
“Our daughter is here!” Demi announced on Instagram. “We couldn’t be more grateful for the blessing and gift of this new little life.”
“Thank you to everyone who’s been praying with us over her arrival. We are so incredibly thankful for all of the love and support we’ve felt.”
Demi-Leigh shared a heartfelt message about the meaning behind their daughter’s name in a separate announcement.
“Daphne is a name that’s been close to my heart since I was a little girl. I never got to meet my mom’s mother, but her sister, Daphne, stepped in as a grandma figure to me. She was so special to my mom and I — a tiny, kind and strong South African woman who always had shortbread in the house, was the epitome of grit and grace, loved Jesus, had the voice of an angel and made everyone feel seen and special,” she wrote.
“And Reign… it’s a name that holds so much meaning. It’s inspired by a precious little girl Tim and I have loved deeply for years. Her story has shaped our hearts in ways I can’t even begin to explain,” she added.
Fans and followers flooded social media with congratulations, celebrating the couple’s new milestone.
“She’s precious just like her name!” one fan wrote.
“Since you guys got engaged, I’ve waited for the sweet moment you would hold your sweet gift in your arms. God has blessed you with a precious life!” wrote Nila Grier, wife of football coach Chad Grier.
“So very happy for your sweet family! Congrats, momma & daddy!”
Another added, “Congratulations, Demi and Tim, she is so beautiful! May God bless her and your family.”

Tebow, a former NFL quarterback with the Denver Broncos and Heisman Trophy winner as a Florida Gator, has strongly advocated for God and life. And children, specifically.
The one-time Minor League player for the New York Mets also spends his time fighting to save trafficked children. He testified on the matter earlier this month before the House Judiciary Committee Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance.
Tim Tebow has also been building a new Down syndrome facility in Guatemala.
Nobody is better known for showing his faith, even on the playing field, than Tim Tebow. His very act of kneeling in prayer on the gridiron became a verb – ‘Tebowing.’
