This week’s NFL action begins with the Broncos against the Chargers on TNF.

The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Houston Texans at noon (Arrowhead Time) on Saturday.

But Week 16 of the NFL season kicks off with a big AFC West matchup: the (9-5) Denver Broncos playing the (8-6) Los Angeles Chargers from So-Fi Stadium for “Thursday Night Football*.”*

Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) on Amazon Prime, KMGH (ABC/7-Denver), KTTV (FOX/11-Los Angeles) and Twitch (computers, mobile devices only).

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Chargers are favored by 2.5 points.

If the season ended today, these are two of the three AFC teams that would be seeded as postseason Wild Cards. The Broncos were 5-5 after losing to the Chiefs in Week 10. Since then, they have outscored their opponents 139-70 in a four-game winning streak — and on Sunday, they beat the Indianapolis Colts 31-13. The Chargers, however, have been heading the other way. Including their Week 14 loss in Kansas City, they’ve lost three of their last four. They’re coming off a 40-17 walloping by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With a win, Denver will clinch a playoff berth. I think they’ll get it by winning 24-17.
