Thursday Night Football: Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills Open Live Thread & Game Information

I’m not breaking any shocking news to any Miami Dolphins fans by saying that this game might be head coach Mike McDaniel’s last chance of saving his gig in South Florida. Unfortunately for Mike, flying the team to Buffalo, New York, to take on the team that will likely not only take the AFC East title with some ease but will also again contend to be one of the best teams in the AFC. Likewise, general manager Chris Grier has got to be looking over his shoulder by now with only 3 trips to the playoffs in 9 seasons, which is more than likely going to be 3 in 10 by the end of this season. Both will need the season to turn tonight in a dramatically different direction if they both hope to ensure their NFL gigs beyond this season or even this week.

On the other side of the ball are the Buffalo Bills, who we all also know to now be the gold standard in the AFC East, having taken over for the New England Patriots, who spent their time atop the same AFC East hill for the better part of the prior two decades. The Bills and their reigning NFL MVP quarterback, Josh Allen, are going to no doubt attempt to step on the throats of the Phins this evening, thus maintaining their early possession of first place in the division. I would also expect Buffalo to be on high alert for a Dolphins team that may very well come out on fire, knowing their backs are up against the wall, making the Bills prime targets for an upset. This is a chance for each team to show who they truly are on a national stage.
