Thursday Night Football live discussion: Eagles at Giants

There are no more undefeated teams left in the NFL this season. The Philadelphia Eagles were the last unbeaten in the NFC and blew a 17-3 4th quarter lead at home to the Denver Broncos, dropping them to 4-1. Meanwhile, the New York Giants won Jaxson Dart’s debut as starting quarterback two weeks ago against the Los Angeles Chargers, only to have a meltdown against the New Orleans Saints. New York turned it over on five consecutive drives, which seems impossible to do, but anything bad is possible with the Giants.

Philadelphia has been flat on offense and not totally as dominant on defense. The Eagles could easily be closer to below .500 than sitting atop the NFC East and tied for the best record in the league. Their quest for a Super Bowl repeat better involve reviving their excruciatingly dull passing game, while getting Saquon Barkley back on track. Did you know his longest rush of the season is still only 17 yards? It’s true.

There’s a slight chance we get to see Russell Wilson in action at some point, as he’s the QB2 behind Dart. Wouldn’t count on it unless the game is mega blowout or Dart is injured. Richard Sherman is likely eager for a Russ disasterclass.
