Thursday Night Football Game Thread: Eagles face Giants to start Week 6

Week six across the NFL gets underway this evening with an NFC East matchup. Tonight, the New York Giants will host the Philadelphia Eagles in a game between two teams with opposite records and heading in opposite directions.

The Eagles are of course the defending Super Bowl champions and are off to another good start this season, while the Giants made a quarterback change from veteran Russell Wilson to rookie Jaxson Dart. The Eagles won both of these teams’ games last season and have won seven of the last eight games between the two teams. That includes a win in a 2022 Divisional Playoff game after the Giants upset the 13-4 Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card round.

The Green Bay Packers will play these two teams in back-to-back weeks in mid-November, hosting the Eagles on Monday Night Football in week 10 before heading out to New Jersey the following Sunday. Perhaps this game is worth watching to get an early look at the two teams. Then again, plenty of Packers fans will be tuning in for tonight’s Brewers-Cubs NLDS game instead, so feel free to discuss either or both games in the comments here.
