With the Arizona Cardinals and Denver Broncos deciding that their joint practice was more than enough for the starters, some may think we don’t have a lot to look forward to in this game.
That may be true to an extent, but there are plenty of intriguing players and positions to keep an eye on in the Arizona Cardinals second preseason game.
Here are three things I am watching tonight when the Cardinals take on the Broncos.
Simi Fehoko, Xavier Weaver and the wide receivers
Maybe we get some Greg Dortch, but I think this game will be a heavy dose of the wide receiver five and six competition. With Fehoko’s salary, he seems like a lock, but we could see something different happen if Weaver starts to impress every week.
We saw Nick Leverett last week, but Jon Gaines II is supposed to be back, so who is the lead backup and who goes with Brissett and the first unit in this game?
Will we see any of Will Johnson, Max Melton and Garrett Williams? Will Dadrion Taylor-Demerson play? We know that we will see plenty of Denzel Burke, Kei’Trel Clark, Elijah Jones, Darren Hall and then all the safeties not named Budda and Jalen. So, who is getting work and how are they deployed?
These are the main things I am watching this evening.
