Pittsburgh Steelers running back Kenneth Gainwell just set history by recording the luckiest NFL Touchdown reception you’ll ever see.
Facing a 2nd-and-10 situation at the Detroit Lions’ 45-yard line with 11 seconds to go, Aaron Rodgers took the snap and attempted a deep ball to Kenneth Gainwell. The pass appeared to have fallen incomplete, but Gainwell drew a pass interference penalty against Alex Anzalone.
But in a shocking twist, it turns out that Gainwell actually completed the catch while being interfered with. Incredibly, Anzalone never touched him down, so Gainwell took it to the house for a 45-yard touchdown:

Just minutes earlier, Tony Romo and Jim Nantz mentioned Aaron Rodgers’ “Miracle in Motown” Hail Mary touchdown to Richard Rodgers. What can we say? There’s something about Rodgers completing improbable TD passes at Ford Field in a year that ends with “5.”
Per Pro Football Reference, Kenneth Gainwell entered this game with a career-high 783 yards of offense. He just added to that with the greatest play of his life.
