NFL fans are destroying Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams after a video surfaced of his struggles (and angry reaction) during practice.
The No. 1 pick of the 2024 NFL Draft had a superb rookie year on a lousy Bears team, completing 62.5 percent of pass attempts for 3,541 yards, 20 touchdowns and only six interceptions.
There’s good reason to believe that a monster sophomore season awaits Caleb Williams, too: The arrival of new head coach Ben Johnson, reinforcements on the offensive line and the draft selections of Colston Loveland and Luther Burden III to bolster the skill positions.
Williams, however, didn’t exactly win over the internet after a clip surfaced from Saturday’s practice. Williams fared poorly in an accuracy drill, and his furious reaction said it all:
#Bears QB Case Keenum said Caleb Williams has been grinding and "wants it."
His reaction to not completing this drill as he would have liked in today's practice seems to illustrate that very point. #DaBears pic.twitter.com/ewcY1QjEta

Fans wasted little time teeing off on Caleb Williams:
“This is so pathetic, acting like a 5 year old when he’s a professional. Nobody needs to see you throw a fit,” one fan said.

Not every practice drill will go smoothly, even for a professional. It’s easy to poke fun at Williams over this, but it’s something Bears fans shouldn’t lose sleep over.
Williams and the Bears will kick off the Ben Johnson Era on Sept. 8, when they play host to the NFC North rival Minnesota Vikings on “Monday Night Football.”
