High ground usually goes to the winner, but it did not work for a Los Angeles Rams fan.
Inside SoFi Stadium on Sunday were thousands of Rams and Lions fans. Both fan bases were hoping to see their high-powered team come out with a huge victory.
The Los Angeles Rams knew they were in for a fight with the Detroit Lions coming to town. The Rams couldn’t do anything to stop the Lions in the first half, but that would soon change.
The Rams put up 519 yards on offense, and the defense played great in the second half. They forced three straight three-and-outs on Detroit’s first possessions. Ultimately, Los Angeles held on for a 41-34 win at home. With the victory, they clinched a playoff berth and moved one step closer to winning the NFC West.
The Lions’ playoff odds are 41%, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.
In the cheap seats of the stadium, there was controversy brewing. A few fans got into a major argument that led to violence. A single video effectively summed up why fans shouldn’t fight in sports stadiums.
A six-second video showed a female fan being held by a man. One female Los Angeles fan tried to take advantage of it and kick her. She used her right foot to get a free kick in. However, she failed to put that foot back down on the ground the correct way.

Instead, she attempted to plant her foot on the seat below, and she paid dearly for it. She would tumble down the seats and lose her drink in the process. That is instant karma. The Los Angeles Rams fan is lucky she did not hit her face or head in the fall. However, she will most certainly have a sore midsection and back in the morning. Not to mention, she has to deal with the embarrassment of being seen on social media.
The fan base has unfortunately been fighting all year long. In September, a Rams fan left a female Texans fan bloodied in the stands. Instead of receiving medical help, she got thrown out of the stadium.
Hopefully, the fan base can learn how to keep their hands to themselves as the playoffs draw near.
