EA Sports revealed the first gameplay still shot for Tuesday’s upcoming Madden NFL 26 video game.
EA showcased an in-game photo of Madden 26 cover athlete and Philadelphia Eagles superstar running back Saquon Barkley running wild on the Green Bay Packers. That was just the start of things to come.
EA Sports also announced that the official reveal trailer for Madden 26 will be released Wednesday.
After Philadelphia Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley was revealed as the cover athlete for EA Sports’ Madden NFL 26 earlier this week, fans got their first taste of the highly anticipated video game on Wednesday.
The game showed various teams throughout the two-minute trailer.
The trailer gives players a look at some of the new visual updates, such as an improved weather system, along with some of the other new features coming to the game.

The game also utilizes “a new AI-powered machine learning system trained on thousands of plays from nearly a decade of real NFL data to deliver more explosive gameplay – with new player-specific traits, authentic play-styles, and adaptive counters that match on-field tendencies and strategies of NFL quarterbacks and coaches.”
The Standard Edition launches on August 14. Players looking to jump in early can pre-order the Deluxe Edition and get it on August 11.
Unfortunately, something about the trailer rubbed fans the wrong way.
“The same as 15yrs ago🔥🔥,” one fan mocked.

“@NFL, do the right thing and end the licensing agreement! I speak for everyone when I say we want a competitive market where under companies can use the NFL LICENSE to make a great product. @EASPORTS has been lazy and unproductive because they have no competition when it comes to making an NFL game,” a second irate fan said.
