Crossing Broad
This was, objectively speaking, an atrocious call:
From the department of “more than one thing can be true” –
1) We’d be going absolutely bonkers if they called this against the Eagles. It’s a horrific call no matter if it goes against the Eagles, the Lions, Temple, St. Joe’s Prep, or the Sun Valley Vanguards.
2) The refs were predictably terrible for both sides. The flag on Tyler Steen for the tush push “false start” was an abomination.
3) Lions fan ire must be directed inward. You can’t go 0-5 on fourth down and score nine points and lament the hosing that took place at the very end of the game. Detroit had no business winning that game with the offensive performance we all witnessed. Complaining about this like it’s the reason they lost is like Joe Judge complaining that his 6-10 Giants team was screwed out of a playoff spot.
