Buffalo Bills fans experienced an immediate flip in emotions after realizing their fate on Saturday night.

Josh Allen and the Bills dug themselves into an early hole against the Denver Broncos. However, they fought back to eventually send the Divisional Round clash into overtime, even taking the lead at one point in the fourth quarter.

The Bills were within a shot of winning in overtime, too. The tilt had gotten to the point where any score would be enough to advance to the next round.

Allen threw running back James Cook a deep ball, and it appeared to be a catch. But Cook allowed Ja’Quan McMillian to rip the ball out of his grasp as they went to the ground.

The defensive play prevented the Bills from winning the game, but it will go down as one of the most controversial in playoff history.

Bills Fans Couldn’t Believe What They Were Watching

A large group of Bills fans watching the game at a bar was caught on camera rejoicing. That was before realizing they’d lost possession.

The catch-turned-interception is still being debated on social media.

Former NFL referee Gene Steratore has shared his thoughts on the call, as well as three other big ones from the game.
