The Washington Commanders release a new depth chart before Week 1

The Washington Commanders have released a new depth chart before the start of the 2025 season. The team has been making adjustments to the roster throughout the offseason and training camp, and will likely make more moves soon. The Commanders host the New York Giants on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET and are big home favorites for their home opener.

This is the second season with Adam Peters as general manager and Dan Quinn as head coach. Jayden Daniels was the first pick of the new era of Washington football, and he led the team to the NFC Championship game as a rookie. It’s Year 2 of the “recalibration” and Washington has released their final “unofficial” depth chart before the season starts.

Nick Allegretti is now listed as a backup to starting center Tyler Biadasz, and he also tops the depth chart RG. He shares top billing with Andrew Wylie who was removed from the right tackle group. Wylie could still play the swing tackle role, but Trent Scott is now listed as the primary backup for the starting RT, 1st-round pick Josh Conerly Jr.

On Defense, Jacob Martin was listed as an OLB on previous “unofficial” depth charts, but is now last as a defensive end behind starter Dorance Armstrong. On special teams, Deebo Samuel is listed as the kick returner, and rookie Jaylin Lane gets the nod at punt returner. Luke McCaffrey seems to be slipping down the WR depth chart, but he’s listed as the backup for both returner slots going into Week 1.
