The Panthers have officially signed all of their rookie draft picks

The one (somewhat) concerning storyline the Panthers had going into training camp has officially wrapped up.

While the terms of the deal are unknown, it will be your typical 4 year deal. It will probably be somewhere close to what TE Elijah Arroyo signed for the Seattle Seahawks a few days ago, as he was the pick before Scourton this past April.

The key here is going to be the guaranteed money, as that’s what held up 30 of the 32 2nd round picks in this year’s draft from signing up until last week. While I know there will be plenty of conversation around that number once it is released, I don’t think $2-3 million at most in extra guaranteed money will make much of a difference, unless Nic Scourton is out of the league in less than 4 years. The bigger story is going to be how this impacts future rookie draft class negotiations.

Stay tuned, Panthers fans. We’ll update this story once we have all those details!
