Beautiful:

The NFL informed teams today that the 2025 salary cap will be roughly $277.5M-$281.5M, per @DanGrazianoESPN.

That’s an increase of $22.1M-$26.1M from last year — and beats what most executives were anticipating. pic.twitter.com/gnqFiBvGlH

The previous cap was $255 million. The new cap figure will give Jerry Jones more than $20 million in new money to waste. Heyo!

Jokes aside, you’re probably wondering how this benefits the Eagles. Well, for starters, they have slightly more wiggle room to bring back one or more of Zack Baun, Josh Sweat, Milton Williams, and Mekhi Becton.

For context, Over the Cap was using a $272 million number for 2025 salary cap projections, and now the actual will fall in the range of $277 to $281 million. That means they under-predicted the final number. The Eagles are currently listed as having $19 million in cap space, so because the actual is higher than the projected, they’ll probably have around $25 million to work with. They can definitely bring back Zack Baun and fit him into one of Howie’s magical dead money back end contracts. Plus, they’ve got plenty of relief options to use, perhaps making James Bradberry a post-June 1st cut free up a nice chunk of cash and take a relatively small dead hit.
