The New York Jets being a bad NFL team is nothing new.
The franchise has not made the playoffs in 15 years. It has just one winning season in that span. New York last won the Super Bowl in 1969, which is also the last time the Jets even made the Super Bowl. So yes, Jets fans should be used to their team being bad by now.
But this year’s New York Jets team, thanks in large part to first-year head coach Aaron Glenn and hand-picked quarterback Justin Fields, might be as bad as the organization has ever been.
New York entered Sunday’s game in London against the Denver Broncos as the only remaining winless team in the NFL. A large part of that record comes down to Fields, who is averaging less than 200 yards per game and has just four passing touchdowns.
That didn’t bode well against a Broncos defense that is among the best in the NFL. And boy, did things ever go far worse than anybody could have possibly imagined.
FINAL SCORE#Broncos: 13#Jets: 11
The Jets will finish this game with -10 passing yards. Yes, you read that right. In 2025, the Jets will finish a game with negative 10 net passing yards.
I’ve seen it all.

Fields finished the game just 9-of-17 passing for 45 yards. He also took nine sacks for 55 yards, many of which were his own fault. That means that New York finished the game with a net passing yards total of -10.
According to a quick search, the last NFL team to finish a game with negative net passing yards was the New York Giants, who had -9 on Oct. 29, 2023. Ironically, that came in a 13-10 overtime loss to, of course, the Jets.
The lowest ever net passing yards total was set by, coincidentally, the Denver Broncos, who had -53 in a loss to the Raiders in 1967.
Go give your nearest Jets fan a hug.
