Vote to decide fate of Eagles’ Tush Push expected this week - NBCSP
We should learn about the fate of the Eagles’ signature play, the Tush Push, this week. After the rule change discussion was tabled at the NFL owners meetings in Palm Beach, Florida, earlier this offseason, owners have more meetings scheduled this week on Tuesday and Wednesday in Minneapolis. The proposal is expected to come to a vote this week, ESPN’s Adam Schefter said. The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported the Eagles are continuing to make calls to support the play. The debate was tabled on April 1 after the Green Bay Packers’ proposal to eliminate the play didn’t have enough support. Any rule change would need support from 24 of 32 owners and this one was reportedly split 16-16 after a straw poll in the room.

This year, it was Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell, who earned an 81.6 grade in his junior season. Campbell played 1,325 snaps in college and showcased his growing versatility in 2024. While most of his work came in the box, he also logged 112 snaps as a stand-up edge rusher and 27 in the slot last season. Five of the Eagles’ draft picks played over 2,000 college snaps, with fourth-rounder Ty Robinson leading the way. The Nebraska defensive lineman played six seasons and lined up all over the front. His 2,550 career snaps include 1,333 in the B-gap, 642 over the tackle, 313 in the A-gap and 253 outside the tackle. He wrapped up his college career with a 75.1 grade in 2024, providing the Eagles with a seasoned, versatile presence up front.
