2024 AGL: 49ers Get Smacked Down by Injuries - FTN Fantasy
Other teams with very few injuries included the Super Bowl champion Eagles as well as Chicago and Atlanta. Six of the eight best teams in AGL made the playoffs: Ravens, Eagles, Commanders, Broncos, Packers, and Bills. [BLG Note: The Eagles were the NFL’s second-healthiest team by Adjusted Games Lost. Kudos to the medical staff. The Birds might also be due for some injury luck regression in 2025.]

NFL Mock Draft Monday: The (five) stars align - BGN
It’s a lock the Eagles will draft a DT. Quite possibly in the 1st. Maybe even Walter Nolen, who is a popular pick for them this week. A former top recruit (#2 in his class behind Travis Hunter), Nolen disappointed at Texas A&M before moving to Ole Miss for the 2024 season. At Oxford he had a good season, but not a strong one. I am not impressed by Nolen, but then this draft is full of good but unimpressive players. I wouldn’t be excited by a Walter Nolen pick, but he fits the high athletic DL profile that the Eagles have drafted, they’re just usually from Georgia. Ole Miss did beat Georgia this year, so close enough.

Mocking the Mocks - Iggles Blitz
It does feel like a good bet that the Eagles will take an OL or DL in the first round. That’s what they tend to do and there are needs on both sides of the ball. Adding a DB would make some sense. The Eagles lost a starting CB and safety in the past few weeks. They have potential replacements already in place, but could prefer to add top talents at one of the positions. Two of these mock drafts had the Eagles trading up. I can see Howie doing that if the right player is available and the price is right. He believes in going to get his guy. Pick 32 is an interesting pick to have. There is value in having that because teams sometimes want to move into the first round to get a player they are targeting. The Eagles might be able to add a pick for only moving back a few spots. The Eagles don’t need extra picks, but it never hurts. Picks are resources that give you options. Maybe you move back in the first round and then move up in the second. It is good to have options on draft weekend and no one knows that better than Howie.

What’s left for the Eagles to do in free agency? - PhillyVoice
A few weeks ago, the Eagles had good depth at safety, but after the surprise trade of C.J. Gardner-Johnson, they don’t. Are they Eagles good to go at safety? Sydney Brown hasn’t been a starter yet in his career, and the depth is suspect. What the Eagles could use is a depth piece who can...
