Eagles survey season-ticket holders regarding new stadium - PFT
The Eagles have talked openly about the possibility of replacing their home stadium. They’re now openly asking their season-ticket holders about it. Via Zach Berman of PHLY, the Eagles sent an email to season-ticket holders regarding the future of the stadium. “To help guide this vision, we’re exploring potential updates to Lincoln Financial Field — including both renovation options and the possibility of a brand new stadium in the region,” the email explains. As Berman notes, the current lease runs through 2032. Also, if (as owner Jeffrey Lurie has said) the goal is to play a Super Bowl in Philadelphia, a dome would be needed.
Eagles Training Camp Practice Notes: Position battle updates - BGN
JALEN HURTS UPDATE: Yet another day where the ball rarely hit the ground. BGN alumnus Eliot Shorr-Parks has Hurts down for just seven incompletions (86/93) in five media-attended practices this offseason. And though there have been a lot of shorter completions, it’s not like Hurts is entirely avoiding difficult throws. He actually made one of the most impressive practice passes I’ve ever seen from him on Thursday. During 7-on-7, Hurts fit the ball in an extremely tight window to Dallas Goedert with Jeremiah Trotter Jr. trailing close behind the tight end and Sydney Brown having coverage over the top. Hurts also had a nice play-action completion to DeVonta Smith along the left sideline for about 15-20 yards. One of Hurts’ rare incompletions came when Zack Baun ranged over for a pass breakup. Weird to see a defender manage to get a hand on one of his passes. But not shocking that Baun is capable of making that play.
Six takeaways from Eagles DC Vic Fangio’s initial training camp press conference - PhillyVoice
The Eagles were kinda light on depth last season on the interior of their defensive line, but everyone stayed healthy so it didn’t matter. With Williams gone, it will be a committee approach in picking up his slack (they’ll replace him just fine, in my opinion), but the depth could be depleted even further. As for under-the radar guys like Byron Young and Gabe Hall: “We had a one-hour practice yesterday without pads on and we need to see the pads on,” Fangio said. “But I do think both of those guys, particularly Gabe, the practice squad is made for a guy like Gabe. He’s got some ability. He was coming off an injury in college. It was really good for him to be here, practice, be a part of it without the stress of having to play in the game and B.Y. we got during the season, did a good job for us and we’re anxious to see — he never got to play for us — but we’re anxious to see what he can and can’t do.
