Gang Green Nation
Sometimes when things are going poorly for a team, fans get carried away. It can be easy to become so wrapped up in a team’s struggles that you lose a sense of perspective. Most of the time when a team is struggling, it is not historic. It is similar to the struggles of many other teams.
That is not currently the case for the New York Jets.
It’s tough to fathom how bad the Jets were in the month of December. This goes beyond just being a bad football team. Even considering the lack of talent on the roster, it’s difficult to explain how this team could play football at such a low level for an entire month.
The Jets’ current point differential for the season is -176. To offer some sense of context, the 1996 Jets had a point differential of -175 during Rich Kotite’s final season when the Jets finished 1-15.
So, yes, the Jets are playing Kotite Era level football. This is not an exaggeration.
