Former NFL quarterback Terry Bradshaw had a bit of an ordeal with TSA while trying to fly out of the Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri.
Bradshaw is one of the most recognizable people in the U.S., having starred for the Pittsburgh Steelers before transitioning to broadcasting. His face is on television all the time, and it’s easy to assume he doesn’t mean anyone any harm.
Even so, TSA officials aren’t paid to assume, so they got a bit extra with the Hall of Famer, who claims he was patted down twice and even taken to a private room while at the airport.
Bradshaw’s screening was caught on camera, and he was heard saying jokingly that, “They’re gonna go through my luggage now, I’m the Unabomber.”
“Terry Bradshaw is definitely a terrorist,” the person holding the camera quipped.
Bradshaw later took to Facebook to post the video, cheekily suggesting that he must have looked like one of the few criminals who come through Springfield.
“I’m not against being safe but…This is ridiculous!!” he wrote. “TSA approved, had the body pat down, all the luggage checked, unpacked item by item. Now going into private room for ANOTHER pat down. Come on Springfield how many criminals come through here???? I guess I look like one today!!!”
“Detected too many Super Bowl rings lol,” someone wrote in the comments.
“Probably Cowboy fans or just plain Steelers haters,” another suggested.
“Invest in TSA pre check, Terry. It’s worth it and you can afford it,” a user advised.
“TSA is doing too much with Terry Bradshaw today. Maybe they are Cowboys fans,” someone else wrote.
Terry also claimed in the comments that he has never been treated this way by TSA before, but he might be thinking about pre-check following this recent experience.
