After a 24-9 Detroit Lions win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Green Bay Packers hold the top seed in the NFC with a 4-1-1 record. Yes, the Packers are the only team in the conference that has only lost just once in the 2025 regular season.

Despite their flaws, the Packers have cost themselves fewer games than the rest of the NFC. We actually have to give head coach Matt LaFleur credit for the tie in Dallas in Week 4, even if you do it through gritted teeth.

Below is the full breakdown of the NFC, as it stands this second:

NFC Standings, 2025

  1. Green Bay Packers (4-1-1)
  2. San Francisco 49ers (5-2)
  3. Philadelphia Eagles (5-2)
  4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-2)
  5. Detroit Lions (5-2)
  6. Los Angeles Rams (5-2)
  7. Chicago Bears (4-2)
  8. Seattle Seahawks (4-2)
  9. Carolina Panthers (4-3)
  10. Dallas Cowboys (3-3-1)
  11. Atlanta Falcons (3-3)
  12. Minnesota Vikings (3-3)
  13. Washington Commanders (3-4)
  14. Arizona Cardinals (2-5)
  15. New York Giants (2-5)
  16. New Orleans Saints (1-6)

The reason why the Lions, who just beat the Buccaneers, are ranked lower than Tampa Bay in the current standings is because the Buccaneers are the top seed in their division, which automatically earns them one of the top four seeds in the conference.

The Seattle Seahawks play in the second half of Week 7’s Monday Night Football doubleheader against the Houston Texans. We’ll update this post once that game has concluded. Go Texans!
