Windy City Gridiron
And just like that, the Chicago Bears are back, baby!
After the loss to the Baltimore Ravens, our fans’ overall confidence in the direction of the franchise dipped to just 66%. It was a dark week for some of you, worrying whether our Bears were falling back into old habits.
After all, the Ravens were without their MVP-caliber quarterback, and losing to the QB2 felt like a step back for the franchise. Forget about Baltimore coming off their bye week with a soon-to-be Hall of Fame head coach known for having his team ready following the bye, or about the several injured Bears, or about the previous four-game winning streak by Ben Johnson’s team. No, that one L to the Ravens was enough for some of you to question all the good you’ve felt about the Bears this year.
BUT NOT ANY MORE!
Ouf fans’ confidence has climbed to 92% after beating the Cincinnati Bengals last week!
The New York Giants are next up at Soldier Field, and our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook have the Bears as a 4.5-point favorite. The point total over/under is at 46.5.
It’s expected to be a chilly, windy, and wet Sunday, but it’s a game the Bears should be able to win. Chicago’s running game has been strong the last several weeks, and New York is allowing the most yards per carry in the league. I would expect the Giants to stack the box, but it may still not be enough to slow down Kyle Monangai, D’Andre Swift, and Chicago’s offensive line.
