Joe Milton is looking like the future of the Dallas Cowboys, just like Dak Prescott, who once took the job of Tony Romo and sent him into retirement.
Earlier this month, the Cowboys’ backup quarterback went incredibly viral as the fan base called for him to replace Prescott following a 75-yard touchdown in practice.
That chatter is only going to get louder after what Milton did this week.
Joe Milton, who revealed his feelings towards Dak last month, is once again going viral after another stellar play in practice.
In footage provided by reporter Tommy Yarrish, Milton could be seen dropping back, then escaping the rush to his left before throwing an absolute missile in the air while his momentum was still taking him to his left.
Sixty yards later, the football would find the hands of Jalen Brooks for a touchdown despite him being well covered on the play.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Joe Milton throws the football very hard..
Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer has likened Milton’s arm strength and throw velocity to those of Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre.
That is high praise, but Favre is notorious for rifling the football too hard on shorter and intermediate throws.
Milton broke a teammate’s finger while throwing the football when he was in high school. The way he throws has been the subject of jokes and memes online.
“Let’s clear the air, I don’t understand why people say I throw the ball so hard,” Milton said after Dallas’ final training camp practice last Thursday, per CBS.
“I’m literally not throwing the ball hard. It just comes off my hand like that. I was born and blessed that way. If you think I’m throwing the ball hard, then you shouldn’t be in the NFL getting paid. There’s some times where it’s like ‘oh, it’s not necessary.’ There’s like one or two a game, but other than that, man, I’m not throwing the ball hard, man. It just comes off my hand like that. I was born and blessed that way, so I appreciate God.”
In the meantime, Joe Milton will get another chance to make his case for the backup quarterback job in Dallas.
Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said at a Monday press conference that Milton will start the team’s preseason finale against the Falcons.
He has been underwhelming so far, going 9-of-18 for 122 yards with an interception against the Ravens on Saturday.
