Nothing like upsetting your best player during contract negotiations and now upsetting the QB you just signed to a record deal a season ago by bringing in one of the most hyped QBs this offseason. Jerry Jones continues to do Jerry Jones things. I love it! Boring backups are good. That’s why Chase Daniel made over $40 million to hold a clipboard. The minute Dak starts to sputter the calls for Milton will get louder and louder.
Sure, the move is a good one on paper. He’s under team control for three years and they gave up 5th. Too bad fans don’t care about any of that. Football fans want new and shiny as soon as the check engine light comes on. They’ll trick themselves into Joe Milton being a guy like they did with Trey Lance, who’s playing in the CFL now.
