Where I think the season hit its peak and its lowest
With the New Orleans Saints' offseason in full effect, it might be a good time to show you what I think the best and worst plays of the 2024 season were. Unfortunately, they were in back-to-back weeks.
Let’s get the bad out of the way first. The worst came in week three against the Philadelphia Eagles:
This play was completely unacceptable. Despite having the game under control, New Orleans left the top tight end in Philly wide open, which allowed him to lead the Eagles deep into the red zone. The Saints would lose their lead on the next play. We were unaware at the time that the play might have been the first glimpse of what the 2024 season would end up becoming.
The best play was the week before, against the Dallas Cowboys:
Completely owning the game against America’s team is enough to get any team going, but with this following their performance against the Panthers, it set the Who Dat Nation on fire.
Rashid Shaheed's touchdown showed exactly what the Saints could have done without their crippling injuries. If only the season had ended after this play.
