Ben Johnson: We’re winning in spite of our passing game, not because of it – NBC Sports
The Bears are 9-3, but their coach wants to see more out of the passing offense.
Johnson pointed to issues across the board and said, “We’re winning in spite of our passing game, not because of it. And none of us are pleased with that right now.” Ken’s Note: Of course Jason Lieser editorialized in the lead. Ben Johnson absolutely, positively did not say ‘Williams must play better for the Bears to have a chance in the playoffs’ or anything even remotely like that. He, in fact, specifically would not talk about anything more than the next game. I’m posting this link because I’d like you to hear/read what Johnson said, and compare that to the fiction that Lieser reported. This is what passes for “journalism” in 2025.
