The Las Vegas Raiders recently promoted wide receiver Alex Bachman to the 53-man roster from the practice squad.

Let’s take a closer look at Bachman:

Size:

6-0, 190 pounds.

NFL experience:

He signed as undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Rams in 2019. He was cut after training camp. He was signed to the New York Giants’ practice squad later in 2019 and spent most of the 2020 season on the Giants’ practice squad. He spent some time on the Giants’ practice squad in 2021 and was cut in the summer of 2022. He spent time on the Houston Texans’ practice squad in 2022 and ‘23. He has played in four NFL regular-season games, the last coming in 2021 with the Giants. He signed with the Raiders in 2024 and spent six games on the 53-man roster and was also on the practice squad. He had three catches for 31 yards last season.

College:

He went to Wake Forest and played in 32 career games.

2025 playing time:

Bachman, 29, has played three games this season, one as a member of the roster and he was twice promoted from the practice squad. He has logged 14 snaps on offense and 42 on special teams. He has one catch for nine games and has been targeted twice.

What’s his role?

Bachman is mostly a special teamer, but he will on occasion play on offense.
