Here’s a look at the San Francisco 49ers’ injury report for Wednesday:

Did not participate:

LB Tatum Bethune (high ankle)
DE Sam Okuayinonu (high ankle)
K Eddy Pineiro (hamstring)

Limited:

LB Luke Gifford (hip, neck)

Vet day:
RB Christian McCaffrey

Robert Beal is back practicing after being cleared from the concussion protocol. The defense will need Beal, as they won’t have Okuayinonu. There is some concern that Sam O will miss multiple weeks, per Kyle Shanahan: “Yeah, it’s gonna be at least a couple weeks. High-ankle sprain, so it’s gonna take some time.”

The 49ers will not open the practice window this week for Brandon Aiyuk, Yetur Gross-Matos, or Jacob Cowing. Shanahan said Gross-Matos is “coming along,” after mentioning Gross-Matos’s knee injury has made him susceptible to other injuries, which has been the story for Gross-Matos this season. Shanahan believes Gross-Matos can return after the bye week.

Neither player will have their practice window opened next week, either.
