From smoke bombs to firecrackers, these fireworks remind me of select Rams
The Fourth of July is this week. Let’s get into a little into the festivities by comparing the 2025 Los Angeles Rams to your favorite fireworks.
Dynamite might be more fitting, but we’re sticking with the theme.
Jared Verse is quickly developing into the Rams’ best player and is heading into only his second season. He’s picking up the face of the franchise mantle and following in the footsteps of Aaron Donald.
It’s reasonably possible that Verse grows from defensive rookie of the year to the league’s defensive player of the year, and Los Angeles will need him to continue on his upwards trajectory if they are going to make a Super Bowl run.
Verse blows through offensive tackles like a firecracker, one of the first things you think of when July Fourth comes to mind.
Smoke bombs are a staple of the holiday. They aren’t necessarily a star, but they are always a steady and welcome addition to your celebration.
That’s no different than what Kyren Williams brings to the table for LA. He doesn’t wow you with his athleticism or skillset. He’s willing to grind out the yardage and do the dirty work in pass protection.
Kobie Turner is a blossoming star on and off the field. He’s demonstrated his skills outside of football by singing the national anthem at NBA games, and on the field he’s become a pivotal part of the Rams’ defensive turnaround between 2022 and now.
Fountains are similarly and important piece of the holiday and are known to bring a little extra flare.
Mortars all come in the same package and you don’t know what you’re going to get until they burst in the sky. Some are spectacular and others leaving you wanting more.
That’s really no different than Matthew Stafford’s career with the Rams, at least in the regular season. One week he looks like an elite NFL quarterback and others bring a maddening inconsistency.
I don’t care how old you are. Everyone loves parachutes and chasing them down introduces a little competition between family and friends.
Puka Nacua is one of the biggest personalities on the Rams’ roster. He also brings an immense competitive spirit and is aggressive at the catch point in a way we haven’t seen from an LA receiver in some time.
Braden Fiske is built like a tank. He probably fell in the 2023 NFL Draft because of his slight frame, but is already proving his doubters wrong by notching 8.5 sacks as a rookie.
The high pitched squeal of bottle rockets is the sound Tutu Atwell makes when he runs past the corner on a deep ball from Stafford. Atwell is...
