The New York Jets got absolutely demolished by the New England Patriots in Week 17 by a score of 42-10, adding insult to an already injury-filled season (metaphorically).
With just one game left in the 2025 regular season, the New York Jets — while not the worst team in football as far as their win-loss record is concerned — have set numerous statistical records that suggest they’re one of the worst teams of all time.
The most reported on mind-blowingly negative stat is that they’ve failed to intercept a single pass throughout the entire season. With just one game left in the 2025 regular season, the Jets have yet to intercept a pass.
For comparison, all 31 of the other teams in the NFL have at least six interceptions on the year. They do have a few turnovers on defense, though: four fumble recoveries. Those four turnovers are five less than anyone else in the NFL.
The Jets’ failings don’t stop there, though. Their leading receiver is Garrett Wilson, who has 395 receiving yards and hasn’t played in a game since October 12.
Then, of course, is the mother of them all: they have extended their playoff drought to 15 years, which is the longest such streak across the four major sports leagues in the United States (NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL).
Other insane Jets stats:
0 INTs this season
0 400 yard receivers
0 Jet QBs have thrown for 10 TDs for the 5th time in 6 years.
0 Playoff appearances since 2010

As noted above, while the Jets don’t have the worst record in the National Football League, it’s stats like the ones above and performances like the one over the weekend against the New England Patriots that have rookie head coach Aaron Glenn sitting squarely in the hot seat.
Making matters worse for Glenn is the massive success that fellow first-year head coaches Ben Johnson and Liam Cohen have had with the Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars, respectively, with both teams headed to the playoffs as likely division winners.
