The 11 NFL QBs Who’ve Scored The Most Fantasy Football Points In A Single Game

Most fantasy football players prioritize running backs and wide receivers over quarterbacks, but it’s pretty hard to stay competitive if you don’t have a talented passer on your roster. QBs can be hit or miss, but you can reap the benefits if they end up having a game for the ages like these guys.

These are the NFL quarterbacks who’ve racked up the most fantasy football points in a single game

Fantasy football has been “A Thing” since the 1960s, but you had to be a pretty diehard fan to get in on the action before the internet thrust it into the mainstream.

Pro Football Reference has an exhaustive archive chronicling fantasy stats that stretches back well before the now-beloved pastime was cool, and I decided to take a closer look at the QBs who’ve managed to score the most points in a single game.

11.Mitch Trubisky: 43.46

Mitch Trubisky had a rocky four-year stint with the Bears where he tended to be pretty hit or miss, but he was firing on all cylinders when Chicago hosted the Buccaneers on September 30, 2018.

He earned a spot on this list by throwing six touchdown passes and finishing with 354 yards in the air (and 53 more on the ground) as the Bears rolled to a 48-10 victory.

10. Aaron Rodgers: 43.76

Aaron Rodgers is the only quarterback who will be making multiple appearances here, and his first comes courtesy of what transpired when the Packers played the Raiders on October 20th, 2019.

That marked Matt LeFleur’s first season as the head coach in Green Bay following the departure of Mike McCarthy, and Rodgers had his best game since the start of the new regime with the five TD passes and 429 yards he threw for in the 42-24 win.

9. Randall Cunningham: 44

Every other QB on this list threw for at least 300 yards, but Randall Cunningham didn’t have to thanks to the two-pronged approach that made him a force to be reckoned with back in the day.

Cunningham “only” passed for 240 yards when the Eagles played the Patriots on November 4, 1990, but he threw 4 TDs to complement the 124 yards he gained on the ground while taking it to the house a single time.

He probably broke a sweat in a literal sense, but Philadelphia didn’t really need to in a metaphorical one while dispatching the Patriots by a score of 48-20.

8. Drew Brees: 44.3

Eight quarterbacks have tied an NFL record by throwing seven touchdowns in a game, and Drew Brees is one of them.

That achievement appropriately transpired on All Saints’ Day, as Brees also racked up 505 passing yards in an absolutely wild back-and-forth contest with the Giants where New Orleans kicked a field goal as time expired with the help of a costly penalty on the preceding punt return to eke out a 52-49 win.

7. Ben Roethlisberger: 44.78
