Houston Texans wide receiver Braxton Berrios spoke out after facing online hate following reports of his breakup with influencer Alix Earle. The breakup happened months after Earle had denied earlier rumors that they had split.
Some fans questioned whether Berrios supported Earle during her time on Dancing with the Stars, and he chose to respond directly.
Multiple reports said Berrios and Earle ended their relationship earlier this month. They had recently celebrated their two-year anniversary, and the breakup was described as mutual.
The online reaction picked up after Berrios shared a series of game-day outfit photos on Instagram with the caption, “What did I miss?” Fans quickly flooded the comments, with many pointing out that he did not attend any of Earle’s live dance performances.
Earle competed on Dancing with the Stars with partner Val Chmerkovskiy. She finished second in the competition. Robert Irwin and Witney Carson won the season.

One fan commented***, “Every single performance of alixs.”*** Others also gave same views and questioned why Berrios never showed up in the audience.
Berrios responded in the comments and pushed back on the criticism. “I would’ve been at every one if I could’ve, sadly I can’t travel like that in season,” he wrote. He later repeated the same point to another fan. “I would’ve loved to be [at her shows]. Sadly I wasn’t able to travel like that in season,” he reminded everyone.
Berrios explained that his NFL schedule was the reason he could not attend the show in person. He said the football season overlapped with the filming schedule, and travel limits made it difficult.
One fan suggested a simple solution. “First class ticket to LA during the Biweek,” the comment read. Berrios replied again. “That’s exactly where I went for bye week!”
He referred to a surprise birthday party that Earle hosted for him in Los Angeles. He attended the event during his bye week and shared moments from the trip.
Although Berrios was busy, but he still showed support. He posted several Instagram stories while watching Earle perform on the show.
Soon after Berrios shared his post, Earle uploaded her own update. She shared photos from a night out with friends. She added the caption, “Can’t a girl just go dancing.”
Neither Berrios nor Earle spoke directly about their breakup. However, Earle clarified the issue going on with Jaxson Dart after her split from Braxton Berrios.
