Houston Texans vs. Kansas City Chiefs opening odds.

The (9-5) Houston Texans are set to take on the (13-1) Chiefs in Kansas City, this Saturday at noon.

The main talking point in this game will be if star quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be able to play, after suffering an ankle-sprain this past week.

Mahomes said on Tuesday that he has made progress and hopes to be out there against Houston.

Here is a look at the opening odds from FanDuel Sportsbook:

  • SPREAD: +2.5
  • MONEYLINE: -+124
  • OVER/UNDER: 41.5

This line makes sense, given the fact that the Chiefs are not only one of the best teams in football, but Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City is one of the toughest environments to play in for any team.

The Texans offense has struggled most of the year, but had an impressive bounce back game against the Miami Dolphins, and they hope to continue that in Kansas City.

I would hammer the over on this game, even if Mahomes were to potentially miss the matchup. It could definitely wind up being a defensive battle, but both sides should be able to clear 41.5 either way.
