Texans vs. Chiefs Injury Report: Starting Linebacker Playing?

The (9-5) Houston Texans are set to take on the (13-1) Chiefs in Kansas City, this Saturday at noon.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered an ankle injury against the Cleveland Browns, but is likely to suit up against Houston, per multiple sources. The Chiefs will also be getting back their starting wide receiver, Hollywood Brown, who has missed all year with a sternoclavicular injury which required surgery.

Here is a look at the Texans final injury report:

DID NOT PARTICIPATE:

  • Defensive Tackle Foley Fatukasi (Ankle) OUT
  • Wide Receiver John Metchie III (Shoulder) OUT
  • Center Juice Scruggs (Foot) OUT
  • Tight End Cade Stover (Illness) OUT
  • Linebacker Christian Harris (Ankle) QUESTIONABLE

LIMITED PARTICIPATION:

  • Running Back Joe Mixon (Ankle)

FULL PARTICIPATION:

  • Guard Nick Broeker (Hand)
  • Guard Kenyon Green (Shoulder)
  • Quarterback Davis Mills (Illness)
  • Linebacker Del’Shawn Phillips (Foot)

The only injury that is a real concern is linebacker Christian Harris, who just returned from a calf injury last weekend. He suffered an ankle injury in practice on Thursday, which has put his status in question.

The Texans have notoriously played to their opponents level all season long. They seem to play well against the good teams and poorly against the bad teams. If Houston wants to truly be taken seriously entering the playoffs, they need another signature win and there is no one better than the Kansas City Chiefs.
