Braxton Berrios signs with the Texans after two seasons with the Miami Dolphins.
The Texans continue to rebuild their wide receiver room as they’re reportedly signing former Dolphins wide receiver Braxton Berrios to a one-year, $2 million deal. Berrios has spent the previous two seasons with the Miami Dolphins where he totaled 27 receptions for 238 yards and one touchdown in 24 games with one start.
While in Miami, Berrios was mainly deployed as the Dolphins’ kick and punt returner. In 2023, he handled 23 punt returns for 235 yards (10.2 average) and 18 kickoffs for 441 yards (24.5). Berrios’ 2024 season was cut short to injury, but he still returned seven punts for 103 yards (14.7) and three kickoffs for 76 yards (25.3).
In his career, Berrios has receiving totals of 134 receptions, 1,323 yards, and six touchdowns. As a returner, he has one kickoff returned for a 102-yard touchdown which he recorded as a member of the New York Jets in 2021, the same year he was named a First-Team All-Pro in that role.
