The Buffalo Bills are down a laundry list of defensive players and it just keeps getting worse. Defensive captain Terrel Bernard left the Week 6 game against the Atlanta Falcons in the second quarter with a lower leg injury. After halftime, he came out in his pads and is listed as questionable, but he is sitting on the bench with a beanie on his head.
The Bills put Shaq Thompson into the game to replace him with Matt Milano already injured. The only linebacker not in the lineup right now is Joe Andreesen with Jimmy Ciarlo a healthy scratch.
The Bills do have Jordan Poyer active for the game, and the former strong safety could play linebacker in a pinch. Bijan Robinson has run through the Bills, but he’s not a heavy back and Poyer in the box might be the option they go with.
The Bills added Baylon Spector to the practice squad this week with the Milano injury.
Bernard missed a chunk of the preseason but has been in the game the entire regular season. He missed three competitive games in 2024 due to injury.
More to come…
