The Tennessee Titans have successfully planned a bit of a family reunion by signing Cam Ward’s cousin.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Titans have brought back three-time Pro Bowl safety Quandre Diggs. The 32-year-old also signed a one-year deal with Tennessee in August of last year, but his season was cut short with a Lisfranc injury.
Fittingly, Wednesday marks the one-year anniversary of Tennessee signing Diggs. They obviously liked what they saw last season and during his recovery to bring the veteran back for another year.
Titans signed safety Quandre Diggs, who played in eight games for the Titans in 2024 before suffering a season-ending injury. Prior to joining the Titans, he played for the Lions and Seahawks.

Diggs is the older cousin of quarterback Cam Ward, whom Tennessee selected with the first overall pick. Now, the former Seattle Seahawks star and the highly-touted rookie get the opportunity to play together at the professional level.
The Detroit Lions drafted Diggs in the sixth round (200th overall) in 2015. He emerged as a star after getting traded to the Seattle Seahawks in the middle of the 2019 season, earning three straight Pro Bowl nods from 2020 to 2022.
Diggs, nine years older than Cam Ward, was released by the Seahawks in a cap-saving move last year. The Titans took a chance on Diggs, who played eight games before suffering the aforementioned Lisfranc injury.
Hey, 99.9 percent of NFL players don’t have the luxury of playing on the same team as an older relative to begin their career. It’s sure a thrilling time for the families of Quandre Diggs and Cam Ward right now.
Ward and the Titans open their 2025 season with a road contest against Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos on Sept. 7 (4:05 p.m. EST). This promises to be a challenging matchup for Ward, who will take on a defense led by reigning Defensive Player of the Year Patrick Surtain II.
