Just about everyone, from fans to analysts to oddsmakers, are expecting the Chicago Bears to improve from last year’s five-win campaign. If you get a sense of déjà vu, that may be because many felt the same thing last offseason about the Bears taking a step in play following 2023’s seven-win team.
The 2024 season did not go as expected, as things fell apart around rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. Retaining head coach Matt Eberflus was a mistake, hiring offensive coordinator Shane Waldron was a miss, and things spiraled out of control following one of the worst losses in franchise history.
But this offseason, the franchise has a new head coach, a new defensive coordinator, and an upgraded roster featuring bolstered trenches on both sides of the ball.
They still play in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL, but if the individuals on Bill Zimmerman’s Ten Bears with the Most To Prove list all show up in a big way in 2025, then this year will be different, and we’ll see the first winning record from the team since 2018.
Stay tuned as we reveal the full list in the coming days, and you can catch up on the published articles in the stream below.
