Tee Higgins continues to show he is a true team player

Thursday night was truly a ‘must-win’ situation for the Cincinnati Bengals, and the team finally didn’t disappoint with a victory over the Steelers, 33-31.

Joe Flacco clearly understood the assignment taking over the Bengals offense last week feeding both Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins as much as possible.

Chase and Higgins combined for 33 total targets, with Chase tallying 23 by himself.

With those targets, Chase finished the night with 16 receptions (franchise record) for 161 yards and a touchdown while Higgins brought in 6 catches for 96 yards and a touchdown as well.

After the game, Higgins was ‘jokingly’ asked by Jay Morrison if he goes up to Ja’Marr Chase after 23 targets and tells him to share a little bit and he had the most unselfish response you think of.

“S**t. If he keep doing what he’s doing, I don’t give a d**n,” Higgins said.

It is incredibly rare to have two WR1 caliber guys on massive contract extensions, but it may be even more rare to see how truly unselfish Tee Higgins is.

He has made it clear he wanted to stay in Cincinnati and get a ring with the Bengals, but sometimes we don’t realize how much of a team player he truly is as well.
