The first part of the predictions was pretty up-and-down…how about the rest of them?
Just like last week’s article, it’s time to go back and review how well I did in predicting the rookie seasons for the 2024 draft class for our Seattle Seahawks. There will be links to the original articles along with an excerpt of the actual predictions.
Up this time are the final four draft picks.

Special teams, special teams, special teams. That’s how I see Pritchett making an impact as a rookie. With all the competition in the CB room, his roster spot isn’t assured – yet, Pritchett has an inside track to making the team due to his elite speed and cheap rookie contract. He should provide depth at outside CB but can truly show off his skills on the special teams units. Maybe they let him return kicks? If not, he should be a great candidate as a gunner on the punt teams with his speed. I expect Pritchett to play less than 50 snaps on defense but still be a presence on special teams and log 10 total tackles between defense and coverage units. If they allow him to return kicks, he’ll average 25 yards per return but won’t make a house call.
Not sure if I should be proud of this one or not. The tackle numbers were right on track, but Pritchett ended up playing more snaps on defense than he did on special teams. He never got a shot in the return game either. Injuries cropping up with Tre Brown, Riq Woolen, and others forced Pritchett into action at cornerback – and the results were generally subpar. Yet, Pritchett still has plenty of raw tools to work with and can hopefully take a step forward next season.

It will likely be a challenging year for Laumea as he transitions back inside to guard, compounded with switching over to the left side which he didn’t play in college. Maybe he surprises everyone and impresses enough to compete for snaps at LG later in the season? At this point, I’m assuming that Laumea will get some special teams snaps and work his way up to the de facto 4th OG by the end of the season behind Haynes, Bradford and Tomlinson with the ability to back up both sides – similar to the role Phil Haynes had for a couple seasons. This is one of those picks that I just have a feeling about in the long term, however, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him take hold of the starting LG spot down the line, especially if Bradford stays on the right side to compete with Christian Haynes.
Can I get half of a point for saying that it was a pick I had a...
