In a vote by his teammates, New Orleans Saints quarterback Taysom Hill has been selected the team’s 2025 Ed Block Courage Award winner, which is awarded every year to a player from each NFL team that has persevered through adversity.

The award was created in honor of Ed Block, the former head athletic trainer of the Baltimore Colts, to annually recognize one player from every NFL team who best exemplifies a commitment to sportsmanship and courage.

Hill was chosen by his teammates based on his work ethic and perseverance throughout the rehabilitation from a major knee injury suffered during the December 1, 2024, game against the Los Angeles Rams. Hill battled back from multiple torn ligaments, including an ACL injury. He started the 2025 season on PUP but returned to the field on Sunday, October 5, in the Saints home game win against the New York Giants.

In the spring, Hill will travel to Baltimore, MD alongside the other 31 Ed Block Courage Award team recipients to represent the club and participate in several events, including the Ed Block Celebration, VIP Sponsor Brunch and St. Vincent’s Villa Community Outreach. The awards will then be presented to each player by children from the Baltimore Ravens Courage House during a special awards ceremony.
